First off, thanks for taking a second to stop by and check out my work (and now wanting to find more about the person behind it)!
I'm a Carlsbad, CA based photographer who feels incredibly lucky to be documenting
people in meaningful moments in their life whether they're in So-Cal or beyond. I know it sounds corny, but (good) photos can truly tell a story that words never could. It's my mission to capture those moments in modern and fun way.
I know there are a TON of questions involved with hiring a photographer for your wedding or other special moment, so check out my FAQs if you haven't already.
Or, if you've enjoyed my work and want to talk, give me a call or email me!
Well, it’s still raining, but it turns out that’s a good thing! I’ve been SUPER productive this weekend working on RSP stuff. From contracts to a total re-work of all of Eric & Anna’s engagement session photos. You can see their new edits (and new photos) here or sit back, grab a coffee and enjoy the slideshow above.
That’s right folks… just got everything (finally) cleaned up and running just like I like it on my brand-new computer. Oh, and it’s not a Dell, that’s just the screen.
Garret, my brother, built it especially for photo editing and dubbed it the “Photo Monster”, and I can confirm it is light years faster than my old Asus laptop that I was editing on before. The screen is nice and large too, so I have to sit back to see everything which puts me into a better posture. Anyway, it rocks. Thanks bro!
In other news… it’s rainy and cold in So-Cal today. Can you believe it? I had hoped to get outside to take a few photos today, but alas, I’m stuck inside taking photos of my new computer and various stuff around my tiny apartment. Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!
I thought I’d add a couple shots from my sister’s highschool graduation which I came back to Kansas City for last weekend (and to shoot Eric & Anna’s e-session). She was a trooper, even though carting the whole family around is always an interesting thing. Especially when you have a 4 (?) car caravan that can’t seem to stick together on the way out there.
It was REALLY nice to see my whole family. We had a few good ‘ole Schmidt barbeques which are always fun, and got a chance to go see a HD movie in my uncles “movie theatre” in his basement (pretty cool, hope I can have something like that someday!)
Here she is walking across to get her “diploma” (they give them fake ones on stage…)
And then, the moment everyone had been waiting for… Graduation!! Of course, McKaela, being more a rebel than Garret (my brother) or I chucked her hat right away.
…hugging her best(est) friend Katy
We headed outside to grab a few shots of the new graduate. She complained at first, but she was totally into it
I handed the camera over to Garret and he snapped a pic of Kaela and I.
I know this is graduation season, so I’d love to hear other people’s grad stories. Hope you had a great Memorial Day and weekend.
