First off, thanks for taking a second to stop by and check out my work (and now wanting to find more about the person behind it)!
I'm a Carlsbad, CA based photographer who feels incredibly lucky to be documenting
people in meaningful moments in their life whether they're in So-Cal or beyond. I know it sounds corny, but (good) photos can truly tell a story that words never could. It's my mission to capture those moments in modern and fun way.
I know there are a TON of questions involved with hiring a photographer for your wedding or other special moment, so check out my FAQs if you haven't already.
Or, if you've enjoyed my work and want to talk, give me a call or email me!
Phew, what an AWESOME weekend… although I didn’t pick up the camera once – gasp!
My girlfriend Maya and I just relaxed and enjoyed the amazing weather in So-Cal. I’ve been so busy lately with RSP, work, and putting my old ‘71 C10 up for sale that it felt good to slow down for a bit. I guess it was a little bit of a prep for the vacation (!) that we’re taking tomorrow up to Oregon to hangout with Maya’s family and see where she grew up. I can’t wait to see how green it is up there and adventure around their city and mountains surrounding it. Good fun!
So… look out for a ton of photos from that trip, and some more engagment sessions before a wedding on the 20th. Hope everyone had a great weekend! Oh, and the above photo is a quick shot I took of the family room in my apartment, complete with my record player, a painting I did a little while ago, and the old Sony TV that should of been replaced a year ago (or more).
Just finished going through Ryan & Lindsay’s photos and putting the final touches on them. I know I already said it, but this newly married couple is great together. It’s fun to see their connection in the photos, and I’m glad I got a chance to take some photos that will help them remember this time in their lives.
Oh, and Lindsay, Maya wanted you to know that she thought you looked like a total movie star in that black dress and red heels (I’d have to agree). Hope you guys are having fun in South Carolina.
I was really happy to get a chance to take some photos of these newlyweds, Ryan & Lindsay, yesterday in Del Mar. Ryan’s been a great friend of mine since highschool, and I was proud to be the best man in his wedding just a month or so ago. Lindsay, his highschool sweetheart, is absolutely great for him, and I think it comes across in these photos. I just asked them to go walk over there or sit here… and then I think they’d just forget I was there. Which was great, because it ended up allowing us to get some very candid pictures. Ryan & Lindsay, you rock. Can’t wait for the next photoshoot.
Ok, onto the photos…
After rocking out this outfit, they changed into their dressy outfits. I loved that they both used red in their outfit! So cool.
It’s funny, in-camera I didn’t know if this composition was going to work, but I LOVED how the arch below ended being positioned behind them.
We got a bit lost on our way into the shopping center area, and happened on this cool staircase. We liked all the texture, so we grabbed a quick shot before a janitor came through looking at us like we were crazy.
It started getting dark, so I broke out the flash to get some shots back in this little alleyway.
These are my favorites from the entire session. Love how relaxed they are at this point… just hanging out together.
The last shot we got right before we left. The shopping area had all these great cafe lights, and anyone that knows me, knows how much I LOVE cafe lights. I think they just add a great ‘feeling’ to any area you string ‘em up. And, I think they did just that for these two love birds. Thanks again Ryan & Linds.
Please leave a comment if you enjoyed this session, or email me through the contact form above if you’d like to have your own photoshoot. Although I focus on wedding and engagement pictures, I really enjoy taking photos of couples in love at any point in their relationship.
