So I owe Matt and Jill a BIGGG thanks for letting Maya and I bum a ride on their sweet Epic 23v on Sunday. We met up at around 10ish after I got slightly lost (sorry Maya) trying to find the boat dock. It was a bit cloudy, but fairly warm already. We quickly made our way out to the bay and snagged a great spot just behind the Coast Guard. The festivities started soon after with a few fly bys that I think my brain is still rattling from!!
Then, the races were off. Planes flew through the cones at break neck speeds with collective ‘ohs’ and ‘ahs’ from the floating crowd. It’s truly amazing that the pilots could keep their wits while pulling multiple G’s and having to weave through an intricate, tight course.

As always, after a bit of taking photos I start not just shooting the topic but also the onlooker’s reactions…

A few hours and a slighty used-up boat battery later (from the thumpin’ music) we made our way back to the dock. I grabbed the camera to take a few shots of the newly engaged Matt & Jill (congrats!) and their rediculously cute pug “Lucy”.

(Matt sorry for the glare spot, but had to include this one of you guys)
“Lucy! Wanna go…” (as she tilts her head in anticipation)
